Refund policy

BarkLab has a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be in the same condition that you received it: unused, undamaged, clean, with any original tags, labels, accessories, manuals, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need your receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send any items back before your return request has been approved. Items returned without prior approval may not be accepted.

Once your return request has been reviewed, we will provide instructions on how and where to send the item.

Return address

Our return address will be provided once your return request has been approved.

Because some BarkLab products may be supplied or fulfilled through approved suppliers or fulfilment partners, the correct return address may depend on the specific product and supplier involved.

Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

Contact us immediately at info@barklab.co.za if:

  • the item is defective,
  • the item is damaged,
  • you received the wrong item,
  • or something is missing from your order.

Please include your order number, a clear description of the issue, and photos where possible. We will review the issue and work to make it right.

Non-returnable items

Certain items cannot be returned once opened, used, damaged, or exposed to pets for hygiene and safety reasons.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • used pet bowls, feeders, mats, toys, collars, harnesses, leads, or grooming items,
  • items with bite marks, scratches, hair, odour, stains, or visible wear,
  • cleaning products or consumables that have been opened or used,
  • custom, personalised, clearance, or final-sale items,
  • gift cards.

Change-of-mind returns

If you ordered the wrong product or no longer want the item, you may request a return within 30 days, provided the item is unused, clean, undamaged, and in its original packaging.

Unless the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, the customer may be responsible for return shipping costs.

Original delivery fees are not always refundable.

Exchanges

The fastest way to get the product you want is to request a return for the item you received. Once the return is approved, you can place a new order for the correct item.

Refunds

We will notify you once we have received and inspected your returned item.

If your refund is approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please note that banks and payment providers may take additional time to reflect the refund in your account.

Supplier and fulfilment partner returns

Some BarkLab products may be shipped directly from suppliers or fulfilment partners. In these cases, return approval, inspection, replacement, or refund processing may depend on the supplier’s return process and product condition requirements.

BarkLab will assist with the return process, but all returns must first be requested through BarkLab at info@barklab.co.za.
